Adult Tours
Accommodations:
Persons rooming three or four to a room must agree to share two beds. Many hotels do not allow rollaway beds due to fire hazard regulations. Rollaway questions will be handled on a hotel by hotel basis. Also, in very few cases, it may become necessary for two persons, in a double occupancy situation, to share one double bed.
Children 10 years and younger are sometimes eligible for reduced rates on some overnight tours when rooming with two adults or an adult paying a single rate. Contact our office for further information.
Tour Payments:
A deposit amount will be stated in the tour description and reservations are taken on a first come basis. The balance is due 45 days prior to departure. Some tours require payment 60 days prior. Please refer to the tour description.
Refunds:
If you need to cancel up to three weeks prior to departure you will receive a refund. The refund will be the amount of payment minus the price of anything such as theatre tickets, deposits for meals, lodging and attractions that have been purchased for you and is non-refundable to 20th Century Tours. From 60 days to three weeks prior to departure, a $25 fee may also be withheld. Cancellations within three weeks of departure are subject to no refund. Full refunds are always given if a replacement is found.
Luggage and Tags:
One piece of luggage for each person is included in the tour cost. A second piece of luggage carries an additional fee. In addition to your primary piece of luggage, a small piece of hand luggage may be carried on the coach and will be your responsibility for the entire tour. This carry on must be small enough to fit in the overhead bin or under the seat. Soft-sided carry-ons will fit better in the overhead. Although every effort is made to handle luggage as carefully as possible, we cannot assume liability nor accept claim for loss or damage of luggage due to breakage, theft, hotel or carrier handling. On the last day, we always check off your luggage as it is placed under the bus to insure it is not left behind.
Approximately eight to ten weeks prior to departure, you will receive a letter listing departure times, pickup points, luggage tags, hotel telephone numbers, etc. Luggage tags are coded for pickup points if there is more than one pickup point.
Smoking and Alcoholic Beverages:
The use and / or consumption of both tobacco products and alcoholic beverages is prohibited on the motor coach.
Fragrances:
Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes / fragrances as many people are allergic to these scents. A tour could be delayed by an allergic reaction.
Personal Items:
Upon leaving the tour, it is your responsibility to check for all belongings. We cannot accept responsibility for items left on the motor coach. Look carefully at your luggage as you pick it up as many suitcases look alike – check carefully.
Immigration:
All adults traveling between the U.S. and Canada by land or sea (including ferries) are REQUIRED to present a valid passport or pass card. These documents are easily obtainable through the U.S. Post Office. The time to receive the documents after application may be four weeks or longer.
Youth (under 16 years of age) traveling with their parents may present an original copy of his / her birth certificate.
Those persons who are not citizens of the U.S. MUST have the necessary documents for entry into Canada and re-entry into the U.S. *PLEASE CARRY THESE PAPERS SO THEY ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE FROM INSIDE THE MOTOR COACH.*
Gift Certificates:
Gift certificates are available in any amount for any tour. Give the special person in your life a treat that will ensure them a good time with many happy memories.
Student Tours
Accommodations:
Student prices are normally based on four students per room sharing two double beds. Many hotels no longer allow rollaway beds due to fire hazard regulations. Rollaway questions will be handled on a hotel by hotel basis.
Payments:
Deposits and balance due dates are arranged on a tour by tour basis. A general rule of thumb is that deposits are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and balances are usually due 45 days prior to the tour.
Refunds:
A complete refund will be made of deposits up to 45 days prior to departure (less any payments for meals, loading and attractions made by 20th Century Tours that cannot be recovered). Within 45 days of departure, we will refund whatever amount we can still recover. Full refunds will always be given if a replacement is available.
Luggage:
One piece of luggage for each student is included in the tour. A small piece of hand luggage may be carried on the coach and both will be the student’s responsibility for the entire tour. This carry on piece must be small enough to fit in the overhead bin or under the seat. Soft-sided carry-ons will fit better in the overhead.

Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes / fragrances as many people are allergic to these scents. A tour could be delayed by an allergic reaction.
